Description

• Implement and manage a platform environment for deployment and maintenance of highly available and scalable SaaS applications on a cloud platform
• Consult teams on building for scale and fault-tolerance
• Make available fitting runtime and middleware solutions
• Implement and manage automated monitoring systems
• Establish, automate, monitor and support the cloud platform components
• Monitor issues and resource consumption, and drive improvements

Profile

• Good understanding of virtual data center design and best practices for a multi-tenant, internet facing environment. Strong sensitivity for Cloud Security, with an emphasis on infrastructure, network, virtualization, application deployment;

• Strong background in Linux (RHEL, CentOS, etc.) and Windows;
• Experience with designing highly available and scalable AWS VPCs/ Azure VNETs using IaC (e.g. Terraform, Cloud Formation, ARM);
• Experience with automation/configuration management using Puppet, Chef, Ansible or SaltStack;
• Experience with continuous deployment using containers / Azure Kubernetes Service;
• Scripting experience with Bash and either PowerShell, Python, or similar;
• Experience with hands on deployment of applications to AWS, Microsoft Azure, or another leading cloud service provider;
• Familiarity with logging/monitoring using tools (e.g. CloudWatch, DataDog, LogStash, Kibana);
• Understanding of Cloud Management platforms (e.g. RightScale)
