Cycloid – Technology and Consulting Lda., is looking for talented and passionate IT - Business Analyst to join our team. In this job, you will work closely with our CTO and cross-functionally to enable the growth by analyzing, designing software solutions and its architectures, estimating timelines, aligned with Customer business needs and priorities, acting as a trusted advisor to support business to implement the best solutions in a cost-effective way.
Main responsibilities
- Analyze functional/non functional requirements and seek clarifications for better understanding of requirements;
- Based on understanding of system upstream & downstream, provide feedback and inputs on gaps in requirements and technical feasibility of requirements;
- Prepare the LLD/ detailed design documents based on HLD and briefing from Module Lead;
- Seek inputs from the developers on specific modules as applicable;
- Consolidate all modules and provide to Module Lead/ Architects/ Designers for review;
- Suggest changes in design on technical grounds;
- Develop components inventory for the code to be developed tying it to the nonfunctional requirements;
- Perform sampling of data to understand the character/ quality of the data (project dependent in the absence of data analyst or designer);
- Identify tools and technologies to be used in the project as well as reusable objects that could be customized for the project;
- Power Point, Visio, and prototyping tools for creating solution presentations and prepare HLD and Hi-Level estimations;
- Creating and maintaining requirements and user stories in JIRA (SaaS);
- Gathering and preparing solution based estimates using Case Studies and User Stories;
- Process Flows High Level Solution Diagrams short of architecture;
- Providing Gap Analysis and Defect Root Cause Analysis;
- Collaborate with project managers and other staff members to develop budgets and timelines for solutions;
- Understand cloud computing platforms (Amazon) is a plus.
Experience and skill requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Informatics Engineering, Software Engineering or a related field. Master’s degree preferred;
- 5 years or more of IT experience in a similar role;
- Good understanding of IT/Telco’s business, processes and terminology;
- Excellent knowledge of software, application design and architecture;
- Strong knowledge about last trending’s and happenings on the market;
- Experience in Microsoft technologies (last versions of .Net framework) and tools (e.g. VSTS), Web APIs, digital certificates and security concerns
- Good knowledge of Cloud AWS, SQL, CI/CD applications and container technologies
- Good knowledge of Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes;
- Strong Atlassian administration skills (JIRA, Confluence) with 1-2 years of recent administration experience
- Extensive JIRA front end administration experience - including Workflows, Schema, User Management
- Strong interpersonal, communication and negation skills including ability to persuasively deliver presentations to customers, senior executives and partners;
- Puts the customer experience first, challenges the status quo, intellectually curious with a solution-oriented attitude;
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills in combination with technical savvy to make good decisions in a dynamic environment;
- Excellent written and spoken language skills in English (B2)
