Job brief

We are looking for a Microsoft Infrastructure Support Engineer to join our IT department and your mission is providing technical leadership and delivery expertise on our client projects. This person will continually monitor process and procedures as it pertains to Microsoft System Center, Server Virtualization, Storage Virtualization, Network Virtualization and seek efficiencies and improvements. We are looking for professionals in sales engineer role, technical support engineer role, and deployment service engineer role.

Responsabilities

  • Lead the development of the Event Management Domain Architecture Roadmap and maintain reference artifacts, technical standards and procedures
  • Perform installation, maintenance and support of Enterprise monitoring solutions globally
  • Extend the current infrastructure and/or implement new infrastructure to support Microsoft SCOM users globally
  • Develop, install, configure and improve vendor and custom Management Packs
  • Identify, produce and report against relevant statistics for Event Monitoring systems and services
  • Identify and troubleshoot complex problems and document solutions for support teams

Requirements

  • Good communication skills
  • BSc in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field
  • +3 years of experience as a Infrastructure Support Engineer
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Event Management and Monitoring Industry Best Practices and Standards
  • Familiar with ITIL Service Operation methdology
  • Familiar with a variety of monitoring and event management solutions for large enterprise operations
  • Knowledge of MS SCOM, including architecture, design, installation, authoring, maintenance and operations
  • Understanding of other System Center Products such as System Center Orchestrator (SCORCH) and System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) and how they integrate with SCOM.
  • Hands-on experience with two or more of the following: Active Directory, Windows, UNIX, Linux, SQL, Web Applications, SharePoint, Exchange, and Cisco Network Systems, Services and Devices
  • Knowledge of server virtualization technologies, preferably VMware and/or Microsoft technologies
  • Proficient in English
