Description

We're looking for a talented Infrastructure/DevOps engineer to join our team based in Ermesinde, Greater Porto.

You will kick-start an internal operations project to help the company to scale up and harmonize development and delivery, working with our development team members across multiple clients, building systems and technological stacks so that internal cooperation flows easier through automation and transparent remote computing.

WHAT WE NEED

- Solid experience with Windows, Linux and macOS system administration (at least 2 out of the 3);

- Good experience with OOP and scripting languages (e.g. Go, Java, C++, Kotlin, Python, Javascript);

- Familiarity with network topology, administration, infrastructure, protocols and security;

- Hands-on with database servers and instances, both relational and non-relational;

- Managing and maintaining infrastructure in cloud computing services such as AWS, GCP and Azure;

- Build orchestration and automation pipelines;

- Experience with containers, such as Docker and Docker Compose or similar;

- Well familiar with Cloud infrastructure definition and deployment (such as Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform);

- Establishment of virtualization infrastructure for development operations, quality assurance and delivery;

WHAT WE WOULD LIKE

- Familiar with free and commercial virtualization protocols, hypervisors and tools (such as RDP, VNC, VirtualBox, VMware, Proxmox, Hyper-V, Parallels, XenServer);

- Remote/OOB management using AMT/DASH/IPMI, KVM Over IP;

- Knowledge of Agile methodologies such as Scrum;

- Familiarity with multiple CI/CD vendors such as Atlassian, GitHub, Gitlab or Jenkins;

- Deployment of web and applicational servers;

- Familiarity with Webservices, Microservices, SOA, middleware data brokers (e.g. Kafka, Redis, RabbitMQ)

- Familiarity with site reliability engineering (e.g. availability, fault tolerance, scalability etc.);

- Knowledge of HW/SW trends for medium-scale servers, remote management, on-site/on-premises cloud infrastructure and general computing;
