What you will be doing:

• Help the development teams deliver secure by design, tested software that implements user stories/spec to a high quality
• Create and manage fast flowing CI/CD environments for cross functional teams
• Collaborate effectively with peers, business and other stakeholders to truly understand business needs and understand the product and get best use from it
• Adopt DevOps tools to drive a very high level of automation
• Manage a container environment including Docker and Kubernetes
• Provide accurate effort estimates to produce high quality work.

What we are looking for:

• Solid background building CI/CD pipelines in GitLab automating every stage using  technologies like Jenkins and also infrastructure code scripting languages such as Ansible, Terraform, Chef or Puppet
• Experience automating infrastructure, software and testing
• Knowledge of Cloud Services (AWS, Google Cloud or Azure)
• Solid background with one or more programming languages such as Python, Go, Java, JavaScript or Node.js
• Working knowledge of HTML and CSS
• Working experience with at least one modern relational or non-relational database (Postgres/MySQL/Aurora or DynamoDB)
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and experience with API Maturity Model (e.g. RMM)
• Experience designing and building micro services managed in Docker containers
• Good understanding of Cloud Security principles and how to lock-down a working environment in which the developer can build and deploy working collections of micro services
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering or similar.

What will be a plus:

• Experience in Data or Artificial Intelligence operations projects
• Experience with APIgee, API Gateways or similar
• Amazon Web Services experience
• AWS Certification as a DevOps Engineer or Architect
• Experience with serverless technologies, such as AWS Lambda
• Experience with Spark programming ideal.
