We are looking for a Head of UX & Design to join our international team and to contribute to making our software into easy-to-use products for our clients and manage the team of Design & UX. Amongst others, the responsibilities include gathering user stories, designing graphic elements and building navigation components.
You will be based in our riverside office in Lisbon.
The Role:
We are looking for a visionary and creative Head of UX & Design to help us make our software into user friendly products that everyone can use. This is an opportunity providing breadth in scope and impact for someone who is curious and works backwards from the customer, thinks big while building an iterative path to the future, holds their team and others to high standards with authenticity, and has the experience and judgment to coach and nurture a creative team.
Responsabilities:
Develop User Experience roadmaps for client-facing self-service along with applications, systems and interfaces for employees use;
Lead customer workshops to generate wireframes, personas and user stories at a level appropriate for the level of customer engagement required
Develop effective and well-branded user experience throughout multiple online properties.
Ensure innovation across User-Centered Design practice.
Prepare strategic decisions as well as trade-offs based on project priority.
Identify projects for partnership along with department leaders and varied key partners.
Develop and present strategic recommendations to the entire leadership team and directors for UX, design and front end improvement.
Manage resource allocation of the team;
Recommend best approaches for implementation of user experience.
Prepare strategies and implement plans for cross-channel to assist customer-facing self service;
Identify improvement areas plus prospective competitive advantage for advanced research as well as exploration.
Identify and manage required budgets for (as “days”) user experience.
Ensure to prioritize User-Centered Design projects, improvements and content - be the champion
Review of facilitating review of all work surfaced by your department on an ongoing basis
Recruit and Train for new positions within the team
Review performance of the designers.
Work closely with Project Managers to understand the requirements of each project
Essential Skills:
Five or more years of UX design experience (preferentially designing solutions for complex digital environments)
Expertise in relevant design software such as Photoshop or Sketch, XD, Illustrator & Indesign
Deep knowledge of several UX prototyping software such as XD, InVision, UXPin and Balsamiq
A solid grasp of user-centered design and testing methodologies, subsystems, and usability and accessibility concerns
Previous work experience of managing, recruit and coach a team;
Previous work experience of presenting, making workshops and be the point of contact with customers;
High creative mind.
