What you will be doing:

As a Head of Security Operations you will be responsible for implementing and managing a detection and response capability to enable lower incident resolution cost across our global business.

• You will manage our Managed Security Services Partner, ensuring that they meet their service level agreements and continuously improve our detection capabilities. This will include building up detection use cases based on threat and risk assessments
• You will work with IT operations teams to set up and maintain log source integration with our Security Information and Event Management platform (Splunk)
• You will work with resolver teams and crisis management to ensure timely, efficient and effective closure of information security events and incidents based on agreed playbooks and service levels. You will work with these teams to drive down the average incident resolution cost
• Our information security team works in collaboration with business and IT teams across our many businesses.

What we are looking for:

• Demonstrable experience working with a Managed Information Security Provider (SOC services) managing and maintaining the relationship and relevant KPIs
• Demonstrable experience of leading security operations capabilities at organisations of a similar scale and complexity
• Experience of working with Splunk or similar SIEM platforms desirable
• Demonstrable experience of dealing with complex information security incidents involving business impact, regulators and authorities
• Forensics certifications. CISSP/CISM certified also desirable.
• Strong technical and IT operations background
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal
• Good interpersonal skills so that you can work well with and influence your information security, and IT operations colleagues from around the world
• Problem solving skills to identify creative and elegant solutions.
