Perfil ideal
- Ability to install and configure Linux, Windows and OS
- Ability to diagnose and repair/replace problematic hardware
- Ability to diagnose low level issues/misconfiguration within operating systems and networking
- Desire to work in a team environment and communicate directly with clients and staff
- Ability to learn and retain new procedures, additions, revisions, and updates of server hardware and operating systems
- Strong attention to detail, cabling standards and cabinet layout best practices
- Knowledge of RAID systems, how they work, how to optimize and repair
- Basic knowledge of static and DHCP networking
- Exceptional written communication skills
- Knowledge/administration of software and hardware firewalls preferred
- Must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk or hear, taste or smell. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience diagnosing and repair/replacement of hardware
- 2-3 years of experience in client-based support environment
- Prior experience in a Data Center atmosphere preferred
Responsabilidades
- Handles all routine hardware tasks as well as basic troubleshooting of potentially problematic hardware
- Handles the basic installation and configuration of operating systems, control panel software, antivirus, firewall, and a multitude of other applications
- Maintains servers and networks in a high demand, high availability environment
- Assists in data center customer installation and remote hands
- Responds to customer help desk tickets and escalations; responds with urgency to solve problems and work proactively to solve underlying issues
- Executes, maintains, and supports backup and security procedures
- Communicates and enforces company policy to subscribers and employees
- Identifies and works to prevent, to the extent possible, problems and roadblocks
- Collaborates and communicates with others to ensure customer satisfaction
- Monitors products for trends and performance, escalates as needed to engineering team for review
- Demonstrates high ethical standards, strong work ethic with an emphasis on team commitment, shows respect for others, acknowledges and builds on others ideas, and support group decisions
- Understands and supports company goals
- May perform additional duties of similar complexity as required or assigned
