What you'll be doing:

• Design, implement, test and optimize solutions that run at scale and solve challenging distributed problems

• Actively participate in the discovery, design and evolution of APIs & tools according to the team’s roadmap

• Work with team members to provide insight into solving complex problems while leveraging industry best practices (including scalability, availability, maintainability, flexibility, governance and reusability)

• Proactively contribute to the team's engineering process to assist with our ability to scale and deliver projects on time

• Coordination with other teams within the organisation and solving dependencies to meet the goals of the team

• Ensuring that our applications follow monitoring and best practices

• Mentorship within the team and with the new joiners

Technologies we use:

• Infrastructure (Kubernetes, Cilium, Terraform,  Docker, Helm, Ansible, AWX, Ceph)

• Monitoring (Prometheus, Thanos, AlertManager, Grafana, NodeExporter)

• Logging (EFK stack, ElasticSearch, Fluentd and Kibana)

• Data Storage (TSDB, Ceph Block Storage, S3)

• Security (Keycloak, Wazuh, k8s RBAC, mTLS)

• Back-end (Spring Boot, golang, gin, cobra)

• Front-end (React, Redux, css-in-js, Webpack, Jest)

What we'll expect from you:

• Good knowledge about test driven development

• Good knowledge about software design patterns

• Several years work experience within the software engineering / programming domain

• Experience with several of the following languages: Java, Javascript, Go, Python

• Comfortable changing contexts between frontend and backend work

• Experience working with modern frontend development toolchain including: React, Webpack, Redux, CSS

• Hand-ons experience with cloud products (e.g, EKS, S3, EC2, AWS Lambda, IAM, AKS, Cloud Run)

• Good experience with containerised applications and orchestration tools like Kubernetes, Docker, etc

• DevOps mindset
