Who is ONLINE BIRDS?  

Online Birds is a dynamic and growing team of international digital marketing experts based in Germany and specialized in advising leading hotels in several countries like Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Brazil and USA. We focus on website development, innovative products for the hotels sector as well as the whole range of digital marketing in order to make hotels more visible and competitive in a digital world and increase their direct bookings. 

WE ARE HERE TO STAY  

With offices in Munich and Berlin, Online Birds is a leader in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) and now looking for a Full-stack Developer to join their growing team in Lisbon. We opened our international office in the capital in 2018 and aim for a long term invest in Portugal because we strongly believe in the country. Besides building up an IT expert team and screening potentials for cooperations with tech companies, we see huge potential in local hotel marketing.   

THE ROLE 

• You are jointly responsible for the expansion and further development of web-based applications using the latest web technologies, e. g. building hotel websites from scratch (Drupal) 
• In cooperation with interdisciplinary teams, you stand for the essential part of the (further) development of digital platforms and services, e. g. our Digital Marketing Analysis platform ‘Hotel Digital Score’ 
• You are able to understand the needs of the customer and your team members and you are able to offer them appropriate solutions, e. g. consulting stakeholders on CMS related topics or on enhancements of custom content elements, features & extensions (Drupal)  
• You actively drive the further development of our development standards, tools and agile processes. 
• Close cooperation with other stakeholders using agile development and project methods. 
• Instruction of team members regarding new technology, trends & standards 

MAIN REQUIRENMENTS  

• Minimum 3 years professional experience working with HTML5/CSS3, JavaScript and PHP  
• Extensive experience with Drupal, especially in the backend section  
• Proficiency in at least one JavaScript framework like jQuery, Angular, React or VueJS  
• Experience using and establishing tools like git, gulp, grunt, npm, etc.  
• Experience with MySQL Databases  
• Integration of 3rd party web services via REST/SOAP API’s  
• Fluent in Business English
