As a software developer, you work on a small team and can switch teams and projects as our business grows and evolves. We need our developers to be versatile and passionate to tackle new problems as we continue to push the technology forward.

A developer at NQDA works with stakeholders to create meaningful, innovative and beautiful products and interfaces that may go from a small business institutional webpage, product presentation (MVPs) or web/mobile applications to a massive digital transformation of an entire enterprise and its processes. You’ll work closely with project managers, designers and other developers and be responsible to bring relevant changes to our clients by delivering great experiences for their customers.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Develop next-generation web applications;
• Write modular and well-tested front and back-end code;
• Optimize the application for maximum speed and scalability;
• Collaborate in a smart environment where you can bring in your ideas;
• Brainstorm initial ideas and carry them through to concept development;
• Discuss ideas with all team and/or clients to create the best solutions within available budget;
• Work in a well-opinionated technology stack, developer tools and methodologies that our team is constantly trying to improve;
• Work in a variety of different business areas;

WE REQUIRE:

• Knowledge of with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and PHP;
• Ability to integrate web services (RESTful, JSON);
• Basic Understanding accessibility and security compliance;
• Basic experience in the management of Linux hosting environment (shared or not);
• Data migration, transformation and output in different formats;
• Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes;
• Ability to work in areas outside of our usual comfort zone, and get things done quickly;
• Teamwork skills;
• Write clean, maintainable code;
• Comfortable with version control systems (we use Git);

WE WILL APPRECIATE:

• Good understanding of English (written and spoken);
• Understanding of CSS preprocessors, such as SASS or LESS;
• Knowledge of Laravel PHP Framework;
• Knowledge of Node.js;
• Knowledge with JavaScript frameworks such as Vue, Angular or React is a great plus;
• Basic knowledge of tasks automation with webpack;
• Ease of use on dependency managers like npm, yarn and composer;
• Understanding responsive design and browser compatibilities;
• Basic Understanding automated testing platforms and unit tests;
• Basic knowledge to build and run Docker containers;
