Job Responsibility

As a Front-End Developer, you will be part of a small agile team responsible for delivering robust solutions to managing Digital Evidence captured from our own Body Worn video cameras.  As the business moves to the Cloud you will be engaged in a host of cutting edge Web technologies deploying to the Azure cloud.  

Key responsibilities:

• Gain knowledge of the web application, which is used to view, administrate and manage the settings from the cameras
• Take the responsibility that the application works properly and provide inputs to the design team
• Collaborate with the team to improve usability
• Ensure the responsible web design principles to guarantee that the web application works across multiple devices and multiple browsers
• Ensure the smoothness of the application and a good transition between pages

Technical Requirements

Required technical skills include:

• Working with Microsoft Technologies (like Windows, Visual studio 2015/2017, etc)
• HTML5
• JavaScript / jQuery
• CSS3 & Bootstrap
• Angular and/or React
• Responsive web design
• Experienced aesthetic sense for good designs
• Visual studio 2015/2017
• TFS or GIT as source control
• Working in an Agile environment

Desirable:

• ASP.NET MVC 4/5 Framework
• Experience in developing Single Page Application
• Entity Framework
• Ability to work on the code behind (in controllers and models) of web applications in C#
• Web API
• Experience working with any Cloud solution (Azure, AWS, etc.)
• Hosting web applications on IIS on different editions of Windows
• Object Oriented Programming
• Problem solving skills

Soft Skills

• Good communication skills in English, both oral and writing
• Problem solving skills
• Demonstrate a logical and structured approach to time management and task prioritization
• Create and maintain strong working relationships with other members of the team

Travelling Requirements

• Initial travel to HQ in Kingston-Upon-Thames during the first 2 weeks
