We are now looking for an Enterprise Architect that is willing to accept new challenges in one of Closer's client. 

Are you the one?

  • Degree in IT Engineering, Computer Sciences, Maths or Physical sciences.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in functions with a strong component in the implementation of methodologies, frameworks, standards, techniques, and tools of Enterprise architecture.
  • Participation in the definition of guidelines/monitoring of application in Information System architecture in multinational companies of with relevant dimension, with several Business Units.
  • Good knowledge of systems architecture requirements such as interoperability, performance, scalability, availability, usability, security, accessibility and risks.
  • Certifications or training in areas such as TOGAF and EA tools (Enterprise Architecture).
  • Verbal / written Portuguese fluent - Mandatory
  • Verbal/written English fluent - Mandatory

Mission:

  • Participate in the design and follow-up of the implementation of the company's Information Systems architecture roadmap, defining rules and standards that guarantee this evolution, managing the constraints that could arise from the need to conclude projects on time/on budget and simultaneously contribute to the evolution of the architecture towards the defined objective.

Main purposes of the function:

  • Propose and define, along with DSI teams, the company architecture evolution roadmap, taking into account both the current application landscape, the current projects, and the technological trends, as well as the requirements of the Business Units.
  • Maintain the principle of proposing tactical alternatives that do not compromise the architecture roadmap to achieve the requirements of the Business within the defined timings/budgets.
  • Define and participate in the process workflow to keep the roadmap up to date, when projects go into production/applications and infrastructure are upgraded, in particular through EA (Enterprise Architecture) tools.
  • Maintain the current IS roadmap taking into account the changes needed from the business and the necessary technological evolution, both in terms of infrastructure and applications, using EA tools.
  • Ensure the relationship and negotiation with the Business Units, in close collaboration with portfolio management and other DSI teams.
  • Support the identification of new requirements and actively participate in their implementation.
  • Support business and functional teams in identifying and further decomposing business needs, defining requirements, mapping requirements in the current and future application landscape, and building the resulting RFI/RFP.
  • Participate in the evaluation of specifications for the implementation of new initiatives, either in the context of a new system or in the upgrading of existing systems.
  • Support in defining the rules, processes and support documents required to approve the implementation of the new initiatives during their life cycle: requirements collection, construction of specifications, choice of supplier (s) / platform (s), design of the solution, start of development, passage to tests, quality and production, guaranteeing its use in the clients EA tools.
  • Ensure the availability of architectural support information to the remaining DSI teams.
  • Monitor the various implementations in progress and propose alternative design/implementation alternatives that take into account the compliance with deadlines and costs when the direct application of the rules is not adequate.
  • Define initiatives for cost reduction, through changes in the application landscape or infrastructure, building their business cases, participating in their approval and following the resulting implementation process.
