Description

We are looking for a passionate Engineering Manager to join and help lead engineering efforts within Critical Manufacturing Product Team. You will build, mentor, and manage a high performant and diverse team of varying engineering skill sets and levels of experience. You will work with product management, human resources, and our executive team to create and own a strategic plan for team growth and retention moving forward.

What you’ll do:

• Be a technical leader, architect novel technical solutions, and influence architecture & product technical roadmap
• Work with other team members to investigate design approaches, prototype new technology and evaluate technical feasibility
• Find the right balance between progress and perfection
• Coordinate technical work among your team and partner teams
• Help build an excellent team and cultivate innovation

What you must have:

• BSc or MSc in Computer Science or related areas
• +4 years of technical experience as a full-time software engineer
• +2 years of leadership experience as a formal people manager
• You’ve maintained a “player-coach” skill set and feel comfortable conducting live technical programming interviews.
• You genuinely care about code quality and test infrastructure
• You genuinely enjoy learning new things and have a proven track record of diving below the surface when faced with uncertainty, understanding the “why” and the “how,” not just the “what"
• You have developed and maintained “computer science fundamentals” throughout your career, i.e. concurrency, algorithms, and data structures
• You self describe as some combination of the following: creative, humble, ambitious, detail oriented, hard working, trustworthy, eager to learn, methodical, action oriented, and tenacious

What we consider a plus (not mandatory):

• Experience with Azure, AWS or OpenShift productive environments (deployment and/or management)
• Experience with C# / Microsoft .Net Core
• Experience with Angular / TypeScript
