We are looking for Devops Engineer to integrate a project in Porto, preferably with at least 2 years of work experience, strong communication skills (written and oral), rigor, responsiveness, strong autonomy and proactivity. The proficiency in English language is a plus.

Must have skills:

• Knowledge over the following topics:

  • User and system permissions, policies; security policies

  • Networks/troubleshooting network problems

  • Hardware, namely server HW

  • Backup procedures

  • Business continuity, disaster recovery procedures

  • Scripting tools, task automation

  • Amazon Web Services

• Knowledge of the following tools/platforms is valued:

  • Jenkins / Git / bash / Powershell

  • Linux containers, Docker Hub, Kubernetes, and other virtualization environments and tools

  • Linux packages, specifically Debian

  • Webservers (e.g. nginx)

  • Bitbucket

  • MySQL, MongoDB

  • Redis

Task and responsabilities:

• Update configs/parameters, and assets (e.g. certificates, logos,...) in Client or Internal product deployments

• Deploy updated versions of backend / database / middleware & servers

• Create scripts for process automation within servers, containers, or applications (e.g. recurring jobs)

• Upkeep of internal network and system configs

• Upkeep of internal build and integration servers

• Plan and implement integration and deployment pipelines

• Help structure and deploy automation pipelines and procedures

• Advise on architecture and design if requested

• Setup and upkeep of Proof-Of-Concept for external Clients and demos

• Advisory on Client deployments and policies (backups, balancing/availability)

• Troubleshoot issues with configs and platform usability

• Keep updated documentation for all DevOps work items, including recommended configs for product deployment(s)
