Randstad Professionals is hiring a Database Administrator, for direct integration, in a international software startup, with offices in Porto.

They develop and maintain an ad-serving technology platform and are looking for a Database Administrator to install, maintain and support the database infrastructure.

This professional will work with the development and infrastruture teams.

- Manage and monitor MariaDB database systems.
- Manage and monitor ClickHouse database clusters.
- Ensure the best cost-effective and efficient use of resources.
- Ensure system reliability and stability over time.
- Review and work to improve database systems design.
- Work with development teams to design, implement and maintain databases.
- Contribute to team process improvements according to best practices.
- Participate in team knowledge sharing.
- Research performance errors and suggest solutions.


requisitos/requirements
- Experience with MySQL/MariaDB administration (mandatory requirement).
- More than 3 years of professional experience (mandatory requirement).
- Experience in database performance analysis and fine-tuning.
- Experience in diagnosing, analyzing, and solving operational problems.
- Knowledge about agile methodologies and management tools (Confluence, Jira).
- Knowledge about sharding and partitioning of data.
- Good English communication skills (mandatory requirement).
- Experience with BigData systems (Impala, Hadoop, ClickHouse) is valued.
- Knowledge of PHP, Python or Go is valued.
