Job brief

We are looking for a MS SQL Database Server Administrator to join our IT department who will be the vital link between our information technology capacity and our business objectives.

Responsabilities

• Administer and provide technical support in Microsoft SQL database servers 
• Provide MS SQL platform evolution and maintenance
• Production application support, monitoring and reporting  
• Deployment of Applications on Windows based infrastructure
• IT operation and management activities (Control of Backup, monitoring, CMDB, Blue print, documentation)
• Incident, Problem and Change Management support, in an enterprise application and system administration environment
• General technology & system administration, providing 2nd - 3rd level support 
• Improvement and extension of operational system stability and performance 
• Creation and improvement of operational guidelines, implementation guidelines and work instructions and necessary documentation 
• Implementation of Standard Work Requests
• Very good troubleshooting skills 
• Technical writing skills, to write the proper documentation according to internal regulations

 Requirements

• Previous experience in Business / Systems Analysis or Quality Assurance
• A degree in IT / Computer Science
• Minimum of 3 years of significant experience in Microsoft SQL Server Database Administration
• In Depth technical knowledge in Windows OS (managing supported Middleware & Applications)
•  In Depth technical knowledge in the following technologies:  o Tools ETL as Microsoft SSIS; o Reporting tools and Exploration Information, Microsoft SSRS and Power BI administration knowledge; o MS SQLServer with SSIS, SSAS & SSRS  Sharepoint management  Citrix management
•  VMWare platforms knowledge 
•  ITIL / IPC knowledge
• Network Knowledge (TCP/IP), Scripting (Shell, Perl, ...), Nagios, Websphere MQ Series, Websphere Application Server, Puppet (plus)
