Data Engineer @ Mindera

Description

Here at Mindera, we are continuously developing a fantastic team, and would love it for you to join us.

As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for building, maintaining, scaling, and integrating big data based platforms. Notwithstanding, you will also be engaged with the Data Science team in setting up and automating the Data Science models/algorithms for production use.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about Data and are excited to use different tools to provide data insight for further analysis and drive business decisions.

How does that sound?

This position is only available if you want are living in Portugal or if you are interested in relocation.

 

You're Good At

  • Object-oriented Programming languages
  • Building and optimising ETL / ELT data pipelines
  • Advanced experience with Data Modelling such as Kimball techniques
  • Advanced experience with Data Warehouse Design
  • Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, as well as familiarity with one or more cloud-based data warehouses such as Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery
  • Experience with DBT (data build tool)
  • Experience with Python, Shell Script
  • Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform, Cloudformation
  • Working with raw data, structured and semi-structured
  • Experience with source control, Continuous Integration, Delivery and Deployment through CI Pipelines
  • Supporting and working with BI and Analytics teams in a dynamic environment
  • Able to collaborate and effectively pair program with other engineers
  • Working with AWS cloud services in production (API Gateway, AWS Lambda, SSM, SNS, SQS, Firehose, S3, SageMaker etc)
  • Knowledge of Scrum, Kanban or other agile frameworks is beneficial, but not Required

  • Solving business problems by modelling business events following the best practices of Agile Data Warehouse Design
  • Building ELT/ETL data pipelines using Modern Data Stack tools
