Description

The Data Engineer will be responsible for expanding and optimizing our client's current data models and data pipelines (batch and real time). The right candidate is a data wrangler who enjoys optimizing data systems and building them from the ground up and that would be excited by the prospect of optimizing or even re-designing our current data architecture.

Description

• Create and maintain current data models, pipelines and ETL processes
• Identify, design and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing data infrastructure, etc.
• Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL Server and Azure technologies.
• Work with stakeholders including the Executive, Product and other teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.

Profile

• Excellent knowledge of SQL and SQL databases (data modelling and data warehousing)
• Experience building and optimizing data pipelines, architectures and data sets
• Experience performing root cause analysis on internal data to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement
• Experience using SQL Server tools (Integration Services, Analysis Services) and previous contact with Azure Cloud (Data Factory, Event Hub, Stream Analytics,..)
• We are looking for a candidate with 2-3 years of experience in a Data Engineer role, who has attained a Graduate degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems or another quantitative field
