Job Description

2iQ is seeking a strong, experienced data engineer to develop and maintain new and existing services. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing and implementing efficient data pipelines in order to maximize business success. You will work in a team which values high code quality and friendly relationships. We invite each other regularly to code reviews to feature our work, and to share knowledge with our colleagues

The position is to be filled in our lisbon office.

Responsibilities:

• Specification and implementation of data pipelines / transformations

• Ensure proper data modelling and ETL implementation

• Continuous improvement of our dataflows

• Advise the management on key decisions for architecture 

• Tuning SQL queries and processes to be fast and efficient

• Supporting the internal users of your service 

Requirements:

• Fluent english

• 5+ years of data engineering development experience 

• Experience with data engineering in the cloud

• PostgreSQL, MSSQL

• Docker

• Git

Beneficial:

• German

• Spring Boot, Micronaut, Java, Groovy (or interest to study a dynamic jvm language) 

• Experience working in an international, distributed team is a plus

• Experience with AWS

• Interest for finance data
