About the role
The selected candidates will integrate the Cloud Network Infrastructure team, accountable for Design, Build and operate infrastructure for telecom environments.
What are the challenges for this role?
Join a highly motivated and performant service line, operating using Agile/DevOps framework that is building Vodafone network of the future, enabling the telco digitalization program, through telecom network virtualization and cloudification (NFV/SDN).
In your squad, you will design a virtual infrastructure solution following Vodafone NFVi reference architecture to accommodate application (VNF) requirements, implement this infrastructure across group datacenters located in Europe, and operate it, providing 2nd and 3rd line support for incidents and problems, ensuring carrier grade availability.
You also contribute to the reference architecture, support the adoption of new standards, automate and introduce programmatic approaches to improve delivery efficiency and drive a timely lifecycle, ensuring best in class operational readiness.
What skills will get you selected?
At least, 3 years of experience in designing, developing, deploying and/or support infrastructure solutions (physical and virtual);
Experience in VMWare virtualization (ESXi, vCLOUD, NSX);
Experience in virtualization, cloud and network (IP networking);
Experience working with programming and scripting languages, such as Powershell, Ruby and Python;
Knowledge in infrastructure, containers technologies and architectures (AWS, Azure, Openstack, Docker) – nice to have;
Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or similar;
Autonomous and a team-player;
Being able to stablish strong relationships with others, by being collaborative;
Good communications skills and English fluency.
