What you will be doing:

  • Integrate a Big Data/Machine Learning focused development team working on an international customer
  • Define with the Product Owner the acceptance criteria at both the story and the system level and be able to estimate the effort to execute within a sprint
  • Work with the QA and Development teams to establish and maintain the drive for continual improvement of the testing process
  • Implement automated functional tests (e.g. using LocalStack, Pytest, Postman) • Complement the tests made by the developers by creating more rigorous testing capabilities
  • Test Big Data pipelines’ modules and corresponding REST APIs

What we are looking for:

  • Ability to understand the business intent of capabilities to enable effective implementation of testing
  • Experience using one or more testing frameworks to automate test functionality in integrations
  • Testing background in API
  • Knowledge in Python
  • Experience working in environments with large amounts of data processing, particularly testing data migration pipelines such as ETL or ELT batches
  • Experience in performance testing in these environments
  • Able to accept/provide feedback to/from developers to better understand where they can help by creating challenging tests
  • Good understanding of the CI/CD process
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering or similar.

What will be a plus:

  • Experience in defining a test strategy and conducting performance tests (e.g. using Locust/JMeter)
  • Deep understanding of technology, particularly around big data and the Amazon Web Services (AWS) ecosystem
  • Experience in Agile environment
  • Testing background related to infrastructure
  • Knowledge in Jenkins and Gitlab
