What you will be doing:

As QA automation tester you will facilitate a successful and accurate delivery by:

• Analysing IT solutions and business requirements (functional and non-functional) to design a set of test cases to validate the quality of any developed feature.
• Building those test cases using automated test scripts that can be executed as part of a daily build and release cycle.
• Developing a set of supporting test data that can be used by the automated test scripts.
• Where automation is not possible or practical, maintaining and executing a set of manual test scripts as required.
• Maintaining a test reporting framework that shows the current quality of each platform in a KPI dashboard.
• Working with the development teams to ensure systemic problems are resolved in a cycle of continuous improvement around quality.
   

What we are looking for:

• Experience working in several automated test environments using a variety of tools and technologies
• History of testing in both an agile and waterfall delivery structure and an appreciation of the different approaches required in each
• Excellent skills in test design with an ability to focus on the minimal amount of tests required to cover the most usage scenarios
• Good judgement of the extent to which negative testing is required to look for unusual edge cases within an environment practicing automated testing
• Able to come up with innovative solutions to tricky test scenarios where the ability to automate testing is not immediately obvious
• Solid background in bespoke software development, ideally with elements of integration with off the shelf products
• Agile & Scrum practice
• Passion for great technology and user experience
• Exceptional organizational skills, analytical thinker, team player
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• Eligible to work in Portugal and in the EU.
   

What will be a plus:

• Understanding of technology, particularly around big data and the Amazon Web Services ecosystem
• Experience working in environments with large amounts of data processing, particularly testing data migration pipelines such as ETL or ELT batches
