We are looking for a talented BI Developer to join our international team.

You will be based in our riverside sunny offices in Lisbon.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a BI Developer to join our growing team. This person will be responsible for working across several reporting, data prep, and Integration projects, assisting with the development of dashboard reports, building reporting infrastructure, creating ad-hoc reports, and helping to optimize relational data stores in support of client reporting needs.

The ideal candidate has extensive knowledge of Microsoft SQL and PowerBI, with additional experience using other relational databases and report development platforms. The BI Developer will work with our application developers, data engineers, and data scientists, and will produce dashboards and reports for internal and external customers. They will also support non-technical colleagues and clients to better understand reporting options, products, and best practices. They must be self-directed and comfortable supporting the reporting needs of multiple teams, systems and products.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Business Intelligence Development - Design, build and deploy KPIs, Dashboards, and BI solutions (e.g. PowerBI).

• Data Prep and Modeling – evaluate data, and develop data architecture to support reporting use cases.

• Data Integration – incorporate new data into client Data Warehouses while maintaining enterprise best practices and adhering to data governance standards.

• ETL  – apply business rules to data and migrate from source to target using ETL tools or scripting languages.

• Report Development Consulting and Business Analysis - work with internal and external clients to determine their uses cases for data, and create reporting assets in support of those needs

• Ad-hoc Report Development  - Create and execute queries upon request for data

• Technical Support - Work with stakeholders including client and internal company teams to assist with data or reporting-related technical issues and queries

• Documentation - develop and update technical documentation and training materials to guide business and technical users on how to use the reports

Essential Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field

• 2+ years of Business Intelligence/Report Development experience

• Strong PowerBI development skills

• Strong SQL Skills - stored procedures, views, functions, tables, indexes, ETL/SSIS

• Experience with performance tuning and optimization in SQL environments

• Exceptional ability to understand complex business requirements, and convert them into meaningful and engaging reports

• Able to work directly with client stakeholders to understand their business needs for data and reporting, and to define requirements and project direction using a consultative process

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Strong desire for continuous growth and development
   

Preferred Skills:

• Other RDB Experience - Oracle, MySQL, Aurora

• Scripting - Python proficiency

• Familiarity with Agile methodology
