Our client -JOHANNES HEIDENHAIN GmbH- develops and manufactures linear and angle encoders, rotary encoders, digital readouts, and numerical controls for demanding positioning tasks. The company is market leader in measuring systems and high-end CNC controls for the machine tool industry as well as in the electronics and semiconductor industry with measuring equipment. Regarding the semiconductor industry, HEIDENHAIN offers leading products from back- to frontend applications.

HEIDENHAIN is creating a new branch for their IT department in PORTO, with representation of most departments. We are recruiting:

BI DATA ENGINEER

Main tasks/responsibilities - Key activities:

1. DWH modeling (content structure of the tables) and database design (technical definition of the DB structures - preferably Microsoft)
2. Continuous enhancement of ETL processes using an existing ETL framework
3. Programming stored procedures
4. Designing and implementation of entities in the integration layer of the data warehouse
5. Support in the operation of the existing BI application QlikView

Skills/Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in development with SQL
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in operating a data warehouse (troubleshooting, Analysis of occurred incidents)
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Python development
• Experience in supporting in the operation of the existing BI application QlikView will be beneficial
• Experience with DAX development and MS Master Data Services desirable
• Experience with Microsoft Analysis Service
• Experience with QlikView support and development
• Sound knowledge of database development tools and ETL tools
• Expert knowledge of SQL, preferably T-SQL
• Middle School or high school diploma, but degree in informatics or comparable qualifications would be a must.
• Fluence in English.
