Summary:

The BI Data Analyst will reinforce an IT Financing Business Intelligence team in Porto, within the client’s CIB Business Unit. The team is split between Paris and Porto. In this role, the candidate will be working with QYLOA data warehouse and reports. QYLOA is the main data warehouse within the Financing perimeter, being a key decision support tool for users across the globe. It collects information from several different systems to offer users a complete view of the Financing operations.

In this position, the data analyst will acquire deep knowledge about the QYLOA data model and interfaces with other systems so that he/she is able to respond to users requirements. In addition, the team is currently working in the transition of QYLOA to a data lake based on Hadoop framework. In this position, the data analyst will be helping to define and specify the new data model, working with developers and other business analysts to implement it.

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Leading the maintenance activities in QYLOA, namely:
• Create and modify reports/data extractions according to user needs (SQL and IBM Cognos);
• Ensure data availability, in close collaboration with development and production teams;
• To specify and lead the development of enhancements of the current model;
• Investigate and resolve data issues.
• Contribute to define the target model of QYLOA in FINLAKE with BA Team.
• To be a point of contact for users and other IT teams for any topic related to QYLOA.

Are you the one?

You must have…

• This role requires a profile that is able to combine technical capabilities with a good understanding of the business processes.
• Have experience in a Business Intelligence role (minimum 2 years) covering the whole BI lifecycle (including knowledge of DataLakes and DataWarehouses);
• Have a degree in IT (or related field) or Economics would be a plus;
• Be interested to learn the Financing business and understand the data associated to it;
• Very good communication in English, both orally and written (at least C1 level);
• Previous experience in banking is a plus;
• Knowledge and experience with a Data Visualization Tool (e.g. COGNOS; Tableau; Power BI)
