We are helping medical doctors on their day-to-day, by creating a new digital ecosystem where they can easily access the most useful professional resources. By wasting less time searching for the content & tools they need, they have more time for what really matters: their patients.

What do we expect?

We are looking for a builder who wants to develop software that has an impact on the lives of real people. In the upcoming months we will have the task to rebuild our API and take it to the next level in terms of performance.

Your responsibilities, from day one, will include:

• Building scalable and resilient mobile (and web) API’s
• Ensure that Tonic App’s API follows the best practices
• Stay up to speed with all backend and web technologies, software architecture principles and design patterns
• Work collaboratively with other engineers, designers, marketeers, users and clients to help shape the product
• Write reusable, testable and efficient code

You have experience in developing backend applications and experimenting with different technologies. Ideally, you:

• Have experience in java (preferably experience with the Play framework)
• Have knowledge in MySQL / SQL
• Are comfortable with Git
• Have written unit tests
• Are fluent in English

Nice to have:

• Degree in computer science, computer engineering, informatics engineering or similar
• Experience with continuous integration and deployment workflow and best practices
• Experience with AWS services
• Docker experience
• Experience in Python
