We're looking for a bright Backend software engineer to join our team based in Ermesinde, Greater Porto.

WHAT WE NEED

- Degree in Computer Science or similar

- Solid software development experience and skills, 2+ years of development with a JVM language (Java, Kotlin, Scala)

- Strong hands-on with Java as well as with Object Oriented Programming principles and best practices

- Good knowledge and experience building and maintaining REST services (e.g. Spring Boot) and OpenAPI specifications

- Good experience with using relational and non-relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, DynamoDB)

- Experience with Lambda/Serverless architecture

- Experience with messaging systems (Kafka, Kinesis, RabbitMQ)

- Source control familiarity (git preferably)

- Fluent English (both written and oral)

WHAT WE WOULD LIKE

- Familiar with search engines/services (e.g. Elasticsearch, OpenSearch)

- Familiar with AWS, Kubernetes, Docker and CI/CD pipelines

- Experience with the TypeScript and JavaScript

- Knowledge of Node.js

- Hands-on with development of performance demanding high load applications

- Experience in financial software development
