Dott is an e-commerce platform that links national and international sellers to buyers in Portugal with the mission of digitizing Portuguese small brands. Launched in May 2019, Dott already has hundreds of sellers and thousands of products, making it the largest online shopping in Portugal.

What we're looking for:

• Experience working with the JVM (Scala is a plus);

• Functional programming;

• Relational and non-relational databases (PostgreSQL, Couchbase, etc);

• Unit tests and stress tests (JUnit, ScalaTest, JMeter);

• REST web services;

• Microservices concepts and frameworks (Lagom, Play Framework, etc);

• Docker and container-based virtualization;

• Unix command line tools;

• Git concepts and commands;

• Familiar with Agile methodologies and software design patterns;

• Willingness to take technical and functional ownership of critical areas of the project;

Knowledge, Skills and abilities:

• You are highly motivated and have a passion for building responsive, elegant and engaging experiences;

• You thrive on collaboration, working side by side with people of all backgrounds and disciplines, and you have very strong verbal and written communication skills;

• You are great at solving problems, debugging, troubleshooting, designing and implementing solutions to complex technical issues;

Location:

• Porto Headquarters, Lisbon or Remote.
