We're looking for you - a meticulous and pragmatic problem-solver - mid to senior Back-end Engineer, that is always looking for an opportunity to learn something new, making you a learner and open-minded go-getter. You have the ability to design, test, and implement web services and APIs, as well as a strong interest in learning Web 3.0and decentralization.

Your role will focus on tackling projects that require architecture design, infrastructure planning, data modeling, database management, API development, CI/CD pipelines, among others, and you will be involved in all stages of the development of all server-side responsibilities. For this specific position, proficiency in JavaScript, ideally Node.js, is key. More importantly, desire and eagerness to learn and work with Web 3.0 is a must.

Some of your day-to-day tasks will include planning and the design of architectures and data models for server-side services, dealing with databases, web services, APIs, and integrating all pieces together, while negotiating with Front-End Engineers API contracts for data exchange. On top of this, you will be building and managing infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines for different services and scenarios, guaranteeing the implementation of security policies for data protection. Research and creating Proof of Concepts (POCs) will also be part of your day.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of experience as a Back-end Engineer
  • Solid JavaScript knowledge
  • Experience with back-end frameworks, preferably Node.js based ones
  • Willingness to explore, do R&D, and adopt Web 3.0
  • Proficiency developing and designing RESTful services and APIs
  • Experience designing and implementing scalable databases, architectures, and web services
  • Proficiency working with SQL (e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL) and or NoSQL (e.g. Mongo, Redis) databases
  • Solid knowledge in CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience integrating third party services and tools
  • Familiarity with hosting solutions such as Heroku or AWS
  • Good understanding of English and Portuguese (written and spoken)

 

It would be awesome if you also have...

  • Exposure to Web 3.0 technologies such as IPFS, Solidity or Metamask
  • Experience with web security (HTTPS, CORS, OWASP)
  • Previous proven experience building and launching web apps from scratch
  • An enthusiasm for being an Open Source contributor
