About Us

We are a Portuguese subsidiary of swiss company, active on online video and broadcast TV in the last 11 years.

Our new online video platform is used on public cloud services by a major European broadcaster, with more customers coming in 2021.

Introduction

We are looking for an experienced Back-end Developer to help us building, improving and maintaining the server-side components of our products and services.

As a Back-end developer, you will be part of the team in charge of building Ad Insert Tech’s core products and technology.

Responsibilities

·      Participate in the entire application lifecycle, from design to deployment and maintenance

·      Write clean, secure and reusable code according to best programming practices

·      Keep performance and efficiency as key drivers

·      Collaborate with Front-end developers to integrate user-facing components

·      Gather and address technical and design requirements

·      Provide training and support to internal teams as needed

·      Liaise with Product Owner and other team members to identify new features

·      Stay up-to-speed with emerging technologies

Requirements

·      3+ years proven experience as Back-end Developer

·      Degree in Computer Science / IT or equivalent experience

·      Strong understanding of the SDLC, programming techniques and tools

·      Expert in Go development, or another enterprise platform (.Net, Java, C++/C)

·      Large knowledge and experience in parallel and distributed processing

·      Knowledge of Kubernetes is a plus

·      Knowledge of the major Cloud providers (GCP, AWS, …)

·      Strong problem solving and verbal and written communication skills

·      Knowledge in video technologies a big plus (encoding (H264, H265, Mpeg 2/4), streaming (MPEG-DASH, HLS, SCTE standards, etc.)

·      Knowledge of ad tech would be a plus (VAST, VPAID, VMAP)

·      Focus on efficiency, user experience, and continuous process improvement

·      Ability to work as a team player as well as autonomously

·      Ability to self-motivate and discipline, spirit of initiative and proactivity

·      Objectivity and creativity in situations of pressure and attitude of resistance to stress

·      Good level spoken and written English (mandatory)
