Application Support Engineer @ Stefanini Portugal

Description

Stefanini is hiring one Application Support Engineer to join one of our main clients operating in Portugal, located in Albarraque (Rio de Mouro, Sintra)

The selected candidate will be responsible for supporting the design, build, deployment and support of IT Solutions and IT processes. They will also engage with stakeholders to understand current and future business requirements and their impact on the IT landscape. 
This is a long-term on-site role.
 

The below listed accountabilities expected from the person fulfilling the role

  • Understand the IT Service delivery model, IT processes and IT portfolio of solutions.
  • Provide IT advice, support, and assistance to customers to enable them in executing their strategic plans through the application of relevant standards, practices, processes, and tools within assigned scope.
  • Lead/Participate in the design, build, deployment and support of IT solutions or IT processes and/or delivery of IT services by working closely with relevant functional teams.
  • Create and maintain systems/services documentations, training programs/materials, operating manuals within assigned scope.
  • Adhere to relevant policies, procedures, and standards to achieve quality and compliance of solution and services.
  • Collaborate and share knowledge and intelligence with colleagues in IT and other functions, on matters such as applicable policies, standards, procedures and guidelines, efficient use of tools and technologies.
  • Execute the deployment and localization of the global IT system solutions, in line with the applicable standards.

 

Role focus

  • Support the design, building and deployment of IT projects and solutions.
  • Partner with all the different areas related to production for continuous improvements.
  • Create and maintain systems and services documentation.
  • Engage with stakeholders to understand and define the business needs, establishing scope and deliveries.
  • Provide support and advice to end-users in the use of IT tools.
  • Support the Operations department on the implementation and deployment of new solutions and continuous improvements on existing solutions.
  • Proactively monitor systems for availability, capacity and performance.
  • Face-to-face interaction with users (for support and troubleshooting) if issue cannot be fixed remotely

 

This client is considering candidates with: 

  • Academic Background: University degree (Information Systems, Informatics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent) and/or professional/technical certifications and appropriate IT experience.
      
  • English fluency (written and spoken)
      
  • Previous work experience (between 2 to 5 years) with proven IT experience working in mid to large organizations, covering the following areas: 
    - Project Management, 
    - Application and/or Desktop Support (Troubleshooting and resolving IT issues), 
    - IT Service Management. 
     
  • Knowledge and Experience in at least 80% of following tools: 
    - SQL Server  
    - T-SQL 
    - Active Directory
    - Service Now 
    - AWS Fluent 
    - Python 
    - PowerShell
    - .Net 
     
  • Soft Skills:  Customer Oriented, ability to work under pressure, ability to multi-task
      
  • Availability to work On Call
