We are looking for a Application Support Engineer for a project to a client in the Banking Field, in Porto.

A Multinational company growing in Portugal.

Tasks:

• Follow-up and coordination of changes and technical operations (electrical shutdown, servers move, etc.)
• Change management : production of new versions of applications and any change on infrastructure part.
• Carry out the commissioning of the new versions of applications in collaboration with the teams in charge of the development and maintenance of these applications and on the other hand with the technical teams: Systems engineers, Databases, Work and network possibly.
• Management of treatment scheduling
• Participate in the resolution of production incidents and contribute in problem management
• Drafting / maj of instructions
• Document the components and operation of applications: software architecture, technical architecture, procedures, supervision needs.
• Manage backup data and ensure regular restoring test.
• Monitoring application and infrastructure with efficient alerting system to guarantee SLA with business line.
• Control load capacity for application and adapt infrastructure ressource by more allcation or redesigning architecture

Skills / Experience Required:

• Unix / Linux environment
• Windows environment 
• BMC / Control-M or other industrial scheduler
• Scripting: Shell (KSH), PowerShell 
• SGBD: Oracle / Sybase / SQL Server / MySQL (basic)
• IT Security : LDAP, Firewall, Active Directory, Kerberos (basic)
