Because we aspire to do more and better, we are looking for an Application Support Engineer to integrate our Client internal team, the 2nd-largest banking group, based in Porto. 

Mission

The DSI division has a Production Engineering branch for applications, this sector aims to exploit and industrialize these applications in production, ensure the exploration of applications, their standardization, their automation, their industrialization.

This team also manages the evolutions of the applications for their technical and/or functional needs, working around those environments is particularly sensitive and critical.

Main Responsibilities

• Follow-up and coordination of changes and technical operations.
• Production of new versions of applications and any change on infrastructure part.
• Carry out the commissioning of the new versions of applications in collaboration with the teams in charge of the development and maintenance of these applications and on the other hand with the technical teams.
• Management of treatment scheduling.
• Participate in the resolution of production incidents and contribute in problem management.
• Drafting of instructions.
• Document the components and operation of applications: software architecture, technical architecture, procedures, supervision needs.
• Manage backup data and ensure regular restoring test.
• Monitoring application and infrastructure with efficient alerting system to guarantee SLA with business line.
• Control load capacity for application and adapt infrastructure resource by more allcation or redesigning architecture
• Guarantee DRP (Disaster Recovery Plan) twice test a year to ensure different scenario (like Datacentre lost, server or network failure).
• Define technical architecture for new application using infrastructure standards and work with Dev team to build it.

Qualifications

• Unix environment (expert)
• Windows environment (confirmed)
• BMC/Control-M or another industrial scheduler (expert)
• Scripting: Shell (KSH), PowerShell (confirmed)
• Java Application Server: JBoss, TomCat (confirmed)
• Web: Apache, IIS (confirmed)
• SGBD: Oracle, Sybase, SQL Server, MySQL (basic)
• Knowledge on ETL DataStage is a plus
• Infrastructure backup (confirmed)
• File transfer and Messaging (confirmed)
• Network: Routes, DNS, Load balancing (basic)
• IT Security: LDAP, Firewall, Reverse Proxy, Active Directory, Kerberos (basic)
