Description
Your Role:
- Ensure day-to-day quality of service of live applications to end-users by resolving incidents, answering user requests, monitoring production environments, developing a good understanding of the existing application and ensure daily communication & transition with teams from other time zones.
- Helpdesk
- Understand the application landscape, develop expertise of the applications and understand various interfaces involved;
- Answer user requests and manage incidents, including target days;
- Define new practices/processes when needed;
- Write new procedures and ensure their collective ownership;
- Contribute to checking’s & validation of production changes and application restart;
- Incident Management
- Manage incidents according to Service Delivery GITSDE / ITIL Standards, and in coordination with other teams, including production teams;
- Re-instate services as soon as possible whenever an incident occurs.
- Service Level Management
- Monitor environments and KPIs;
- Suggest changes, improvements so as to continuously improve global level of service;
- Validate changes onto production.
- Problem Management - identify recurring Issues and service Request and define action plans to reduce them.
- This position imply On-Call duties and may imply some trips abroad.
Noesis is looking for professionals with the following profile:
- Degree in computer science, information technology or similar, with good background of experience with software development/support;
- At least 3 years of experience with Application Support;
- Good understanding of the ITIL norm and practices;
- Good understanding of RDBMS concepts;
- Good understanding of Incident Management, Support Request Management and Problem Management;
- Proficiency in Oracle, Sybase and SQL Server;
- At least 1 year working experience with UNIX and LINUX and its standard commands;
- Knowledge of DataStage TX, PowerShell Scripts, Service Now and Calypso will be valued;
- Knowledge of the financial services industry is desirable;
- Good interpersonal skills;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Ability to work with pressure;
- Fluency in English is mandatory;
- Fluency in French will be valued;
